When I see the word fashion, after living in a city with the diversity of Toronto for 35 years, and after shooting hundreds of fashion shows, I ask my self: What is fashion?
To some, fashion is an art form. To others, it is a religion.
But for most people it is a method of utilizing clothing, accessories and hair to show or hide something about yourself.
You can use fashion to express yourself, to serve as an expression of your personality: goth, skater, soccer, mom, or other professional.
Or you can use fashion to disguise yourself: a conservative in vamp clothing, or a vamp in conservative clothing.
The question is: Who decide what fashion is?
